Design trends according to the A’ Design Award 2025: AI, sustainability, culture and function

The projects selected by the A’ Design Award 2025 outline the main trends of contemporary design:

  • Invisible interfaces and augmented user experience

  • Bio-based materials and smart technologies for real sustainability

  • Contaminations between tradition and innovation, local and global

  • Design oriented towards community and environmental well-being

  • Growing role of AI in the creative and production phase

The adoption of artificial intelligence, in particular, is no longer relegated to experimental prototypes: more and more projects apply machine learning, automation and data management as an integral part of the concept.

Why this award is still so important

As the founder Onur Mustak Cobanli points out:

A’ Design Award 2025 - Onur Mustak Cobanli

“Over the years we have observed a clear evolution in the entered projects: design is no longer just a question of aesthetics, but a language to respond to changes in society. The 2025 winners are designers who have left a mark in the present, but above all they have traced a direction for the future.”

For Italian designers, architects and companies, observing the winners of the A’ Design Award is a concrete opportunity to update their vision, draw inspiration from international languages ??and understand the positioning of creative disciplines in a competitive, global and increasingly contaminated context.

A design that builds value

The 2025 edition of the A’ Design Award confirms that design is today a strategic tool to face the great contemporary challenges.
Aesthetics, technology, function, inclusion, accessibility, sustainability: no longer distinct elements, but integrated components of a project that aims to generate concrete value for the individual, businesses and society.
