Naples, October 2025. For three days the city was transformed into a large open-air laboratory : EDIT Napoli , the international fair dedicated to independent and authorial design — curated by Emilia Petruccelli and Domitilla Dardi — returned for its seventh edition , reaffirming the profound link between design, culture and territory .
Not a simple event, but a widespread experience which was able to intertwine craftsmanship and industry, tradition and research , restoring to the city its vocation as creative space , where doing becomes thought and matter becomes a story .

The Santissima: the symbolic and beating heart of EDIT Napoli

EDIT Napoli 2025 la santissima

In the heart of the Quartieri Spagnoli , The Santissima Community Hub welcomed the exhibition heart of the event.
The former military hospital, which remained silent for over thirty years and has now been reborn as a space for art and innovation , has been transformed into a place suspended between memory and future .

At the entrance, the portal designed by @_lemonot introduced visitors to a poetic landscape: the Thalassa textile sails by Teresa Carnuccio , made of cyanotype , floated lightly under the vaults of the former hospital, evoking a sea of light and silence .
An installation that perfectly embodied the spirit of EDIT Napoli : design as a poetic gesture , as an instrument of dialogue between matter, space and time .

The rooms of the Santissima were animated by installations, micro-series and unpublished materials , where craftsmanship meets design research.
From the papier-mâché seats of Thirtyone to the functional sculptures of Iranzo , born from the recovery of sports and building networks , up to the Inr? modular lamps by Atelier Nuanda : each project told a different way of interpreting the contemporary .

Among the most appreciated exhibitors:

  • @PotPot , who won over with his ironic and pop language ;

  • Magliocco Rugs , which narrated the identity of the places through sculptural textures ;

  • Enrico Girotti with La Piega , a perfect example of dialogue between artisanal gesture and formal rigor .

Awards and recognitions: the poetry of gesture

The international jury — composed of Álvaro Catalán de Ocón , Claire Laurent (Paragone) , Alessandro Valenti (Elle Decor Italia) and Ermanno Zanini (Jumeirah Group) — awarded the most significant projects of the 2025 edition.

  • Main prize – Main Area: Inserti by Chiara Lionello , a collection of vases that blend ceramic and anodized aluminum , enhancing the delicacy of the daily gesture .
  • Seminar Area Award (under 30): Moon Candle Holder by Katryna , a candle holder with a sensual and material language .
  • Special mentions: Loggi Set by Trama , born from a social inclusion laboratory in Umbria , and Inr? by Atelier Nuanda , refined synthesis of modularity and light .

Design in heritage places: CULT projects

EDIT Naples has gone beyond the confines of the exhibition, expanding into the symbolic places of Vomero .
The CULT projects have built an immersive journey between art, architecture and design , giving new life to iconic spaces .

At Castel Sant’Elmo , Animal Factory by Luca Boscardin transformed the Piazza d’Armi into a sculptural park in colored steel ;
Landscape of reflections by Diego Rivero Borrell for Ranieri united Naples and Mexico City through lava stone .

At Certosa di San Martino , Time-Table of Giuliano Andrea Dell’Uva and Luciano Romano he recounted the mise en place as a ritual and memory , while Music and Literature Salon by Cetty Grammatica & Azucena celebrated the dialogue between sound, table and conviviality .

Finally, at Villa Floridiana , Marta Sala Éditions and Tomas Alia have intertwined light and history in two installations of extraordinary elegance .

Game, technology and memory: the Extra projects

In the Extra projects , design became reflection and play .
Pietro Corraini , with Playing is a serious thing , invited us to look at everyday life from new angles , while in Technology as Decoration he explored the boundary between craftsmanship and mechanics , thanks to the collaboration with Bovini 1909 , Ceramica Gatti and The Fablab Milano .

Coralla Maiuri , however, transformed the historic Salumeria Malinconico with Dice dice, pare pare : a sensorial journey where art, design and memory come together in an intimate and luminous story .

EDIT Naples 2025: the city as a vision

With its ability to intertwine artisanal knowledge with contemporary research , EDIT Naples continues to be one of the most significant platforms of authorial design .
More than a fair, a place of meeting and thought , where Naples confirms itself as a laboratory city : a living organism in which planning becomes a cultural language , collective expression and tool for imagining the future .
